Challenges to transportation can definitely put your plans on hold, but they don’t have to be on hold for long.  96 out of 102 Illinois counties have public transportation and some transit systems may even provide discounts to children and student riders!  Use the link below to learn if your county offers public transportation make sure to ask about discounts you may be eligible for.

Did you know that if you have a disability you may qualify for a free public transit pass in the State of Illinois?  You may be eligible for the Ride Free Transit benefit if you:

• Are at least 16

• Have a class 2 disability card from the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office

• Earn less than $27, 610 a year for a one person household

• Are a resident of Illinois
